N. J. Lindquist

N. J. Lindquist is an award-winning author, an inspiring speaker, and a popular writing teacher, as well as co-founder of The Word Guild, an association for Canadian writers and editors who are Christian and co-director of Write! Canada.

A former high school teacher and homeschooler, her published work includes two adult mysteries (Glitter of Diamonds and Shaded Light, five coming-of-age novels for teens (In Time of Trouble and the "Circle of Friends" series), three discipleship manuals for teens (The New You and The Bridge I and II), and one play (Behind the News: Report From Bethlehem), as well as many articles and stories. She also edited the quarterly magazine, Cell Life FORUM, for Worldteam Canada for five years.

A former columnist for the Markham Economist-Sun and award-winning columnist for Christian Week, N. J. currently writes a regular column for Maranatha News called "As Each Part Does its Work."

In 2008, N. J. co-edited Hot Apple Cider, an anthology with work by 30 Canadian authors which has become a Canadian bestseller. In 2009, N. J. won three awards for her two stories in Hot Apple Cider.

Hot Apple Cider, as well as a number of N. J.'s other books, have been published by That's Life! Communications, N. J. and Les's company.


Les Lindquist

Les Lindquist is a Change Management Consultant recently retired from IBM after almost 35 years. In his role as a Business Transformation Specialist, for over 10 years, he was a member of a world-wide team given the task of improving IBM’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM). His last position, before deciding to take early retirement in the spring of 2009, was CRM Deployment Leader for Field Sales for the Americas.

Les is currently chair of the board for Christian Info Canada, and is on the board of Providence College.

Les has taught a number of workshops on change, and has had a number of articles and one poem published.


N. J. and Les are long-time Christians who each have over 40 years of lay leadership and church-planting experience. Their mission is to make disciples, and they've been doing their best to obey in many ways. They've been involved in various aspects of church leadership as well as small group leadership (Bible study, growth groups, Navigators 2:7 groups, and cell groups) and 1:1 mentoring.

Besides having university degrees, they have been educated through courses at Winnipeg Bible College (now Providence College), and with Larry Crabb, Freedom in Christ Ministries, Ellel Ministries, Touch Outreach Ministries, Dove Christian Fellowship International, etc.

They've been married for over 38 years, and are the parents of four adult sons.

Originally from the Canadian prairies, they've lived in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Les and N. J. have made their home in the Toronto area since 1980.
